The Sirius Caravan - Continuing

The Sirius team departing from the Malek Haddad Cultural Palace - Constantine for a new adventure across the land...

A joyful atmosphere on board...

Losing our conference banner on the highway...

...A minor incident that Oussama copped with very well; gracefully retrieving the banner in the midst of the traffic.

Reinforcing the fixing...

Taking the right turn towards the Djerba Island

Crossing the straight on the barge...

... with "arms et baggages" including the bus.

At last reaching Djerba

Back through the Djerba straight into the mainland. Here our bus on the barge.

Weird cloud formations looming above the horizon.

Another glorious sunset on a cloudy sky. No the jet is not from a radiogalaxy!

We reached Kairouan late in the evening, on time for the Isha prayer.

The imposing Okba Ibn-Nafi Mosque (جامع القيروان الأكبر) founded as early as 670AD by Okba himself, one of the world historical landmark of Islamic architecture. The building as it stands today was eriged during the Aghlabid rule between 817 and 838AD.

Here Cherif, an assiduous Sirius member posing next to the entrance.
